Become an Assistant Editor
The SAIS Review of International Affairs is seeking assistant editors for the 2013-2014 school year. Any SAIS student is eligible to join the staff. SAIS students apply to become editors for many reasons: to improve their own writing, to learn about new fields, to explore careers in publishing and journalism, to learn new skills, and to meet other students with the same interests.
Assistant editors are responsible for a variety of tasks; including, general editing, copy editing, planning events and lectures, writing and assisting in other projects. The assistant editors are also responsible for proposing and developing themes for each issue of the SAIS Review and identifying and working with potential contributors.
The time commitment for assistant editors consists of weekly one-hour meetings and approximately twenty hours per semester of editing and journal development.
If you are interested in joining the team, please send an email to email@example.com with a recent resume and brief statement of interest attached.
